Necesidad de marcapasos tras implante de prótesis aórtica autoexpandible

INTRODUCTION

Aortic stenosis is the most common symptomatic valve disease in Europe and America. The most frequent etiology is the degeneration and calcification of the same as a result of aging: the lipid retention causes inflammation and transformation of the extracellular matrix of the veils in calcium material that extends through the ring and atrioventricular junction. Occasionally, this calcification can affect the proximity to the atrioventricular node or the branches of the bundle of His, secondarily resulting in alterations in the conduction of the depolarization impulse.
